Friction is mounting in Milwaukee as the Bucks stumble out of the gate to open the 2024-25 season. Sitting at 2-7 through nine games, Milwaukee finds itself barely ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers, who own the Eastern Conference’s worst record.
Milwaukee’s struggles with Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo at the forefront are catching everyone by surprise. As the team works to sort things out, the rumor mill is churning, even raising the possibility of Antetokounmpo being on the move.
Boston Celtics Hall of Famer Paul Pierce has now joined the chorus of trade speculation surrounding the 29-year-old Bucks superstar. Pierce’s vision involves sending Antetokounmpo to the Oklahoma City Thunder for rising star Chet Holmgren and several draft picks.
“If you can find a way to get Giannis to OKC… Nobody can give you the assets that OKC can give you… If you saying Chet and draft picks for Giannis, I gotta really sit down.”
