In a lighthearted moment during The Match: Superstars golf tournament, Blake Griffin took the opportunity to hilariously roast NBA legend Charles Barkley, leaving fans in stitches.
The event, held at Breakers West Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, saw Griffin paired with comedian Nate Bargatze against Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and actor Mark Wahlberg.
The roast began when Barkley commented on Griffin’s missed birdie putt. “How do you win closest to the hole and lose the hole?” Barkley quipped over the airwaves, which Griffin could hear through his AirPods. Griffin, never one to back down, responded with a deadpan, “That is a good point.”
But Griffin didn’t stop there. When Barkley had to change his shirt due to excessive sweating, Griffin couldn’t resist:
“I’ve never heard a shirt audibly sigh,” he quipped.
The playful banter continued as Griffin even did a spot-on impression of Barkley, mimicking his signature style and mannerisms, after going in for round two.
“Ken just got out and took a deep breath of fresh air. That cart smells like Italian BMTs from Subway. I can’t imagine what that cart smells like right now. There’s all sorts of olive oil on the seat.”
