Three weeks ago, after OG Anunoby stole the show with his all-around performance in a 114-104 victory over their cross-town rivals, the Brooklyn Nets, his post-game interview went viral.

This was due to the fact that even after the game, Anunoby wasn’t done playing defense, as he locked-down the reporter by adding three more steals.

Now, after OG Anunoby led the New York Knicks to a 125-101 victory over the Charlotte Hornets, he was back at stealing mics from reporters.

Only this time, he was called out by his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns, who told him to

“STOP GRABBING THE MIC!”

Anunoby’s standout game included scoring 15 of his 25 points in the third quarter, where he also made two crucial blocks on consecutive 3-point attempts on opposite sides of the floor.

Anunoby’s scoring spree in the third quarter was a game-changer. His back-to-back blocks late in the quarter not only energized the crowd but also helped the Knicks pull away from a close game. Fans at Madison Square Garden erupted in chants of “OG! OG!” as the Knicks went on a 28-6 run, turning a 65-64 lead into a commanding 93-70 advantage.

While Anunoby was the star of the night, he wasn’t alone in his efforts. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 27 points and 16 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson added 24 points, with 19 of those coming in the first quarter. The Knicks’ starters all scored at least 18 points.

With this win, the Knicks have now won four straight games and are looking to continue their momentum. They will host the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, aiming for their 17th consecutive win in the series.
