In a recent game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the San Antonio Spurs, Timberwolves commentator Jim Petersen didn’t hold back his thoughts on Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid, calling him “the worst flopper in the NBA.”
Petersen’s comments came during a discussion about Embiid’s recent ejection from a game against the Spurs, where he was tossed for arguing with the referees over a flop by Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama.
During the game, Embiid was visibly frustrated after being called for an offensive foul when Wembanyama appeared to flop. Embiid’s heated reaction led to his ejection, which caught the attention of Petersen.
“Embiid got tossed for complaining about a flop that Wemby went through,” Petersen said. “There’s so much that bothers me about this video. First off, he got really angry. I wish he’d be as angry about not playing games as he is about a call the referee made. Second part is he’s the ultimate flopper. Is there a worse flopper in the game than Joel Embiid?”
