NBA fans are abuzz with speculation that Drake’s newest diss track is aimed at Lakers superstar LeBron James. The track, titled “Fighting Irish,” has sparked speculations on social media from fans, who believe that Drake is taking shots at James over perceived disloyalty.

The rumored feud between Drake and LeBron reportedly began after LeBron attended a Kendrick Lamar concert where Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” seemed to take jabs at Drake. Following this, Drake unfollowed LeBron on Instagram, further fueling the speculation. The lyrics of “Fighting Irish” contain several references that fans believe are directed at LeBron, including lines about trading watches and summer traditions.

One of the most telling lines in the track is,

“Remember we tradin’ watches? I gave you that Arabic dial. You gave me a numbered edition; you would even check up on my son like a pediatrician. Sure convinced the gang this sh*t was rooted in love when it isn’t. Show me how different we are; there’s a blessing in juxtaposition. I guess now you boys got to abandon your summer tradition. Cold shoulders I gave in the Hamptons; it come with the distance. Figured we was always gon’ be close, like ovens and kitchens. I was sadly mistaken, the loyalty wasn’t a given.”

These lyrics have led many to believe that Drake is expressing disappointment over LeBron’s perceived lack of loyalty.

Drake, a well-known Toronto Raptors fan, has been a prominent figure in the NBA community, often seen courtside cheering on his hometown team. His relationship with LeBron appears to have soured, with Drake’s latest track serving as a public airing of grievances.
