Earlier this week, Anthony Edwards made a heartfelt promise to a young fan named Luca, who is battling cancer. During a recent game, Edwards met Luca, who was wearing Edwards’ jersey and holding a sign that read,
“To Do: 1. Beat Cancer 2. Be The Next MJ”.

Moved by Luca’s bravery and determination, Edwards signed the sign and took a photo with the young fan. Luca then gifted Edwards an orange wristband, which prompted Edwards to make a remarkable vow:
“I’ll wear this for the rest of my career on my left arm band just for you,” he said.

True to his word, Edwards was seen wearing the orange wristband during Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Timberwolves star delivered an impressive performance, scoring 37 points, including 27 in the second half, to lead his team to a 108-106 victory. Edwards’ promise and his strong start to fulfilling it have resonated with fans and the basketball community.
