Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody showcased his talents beyond the basketball court in February, delivering a powerful and heartfelt performance at the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) in San Francisco. Participating in the museum’s open mic night, Moody recited an original poem titled “Gimmy Problems,” captivating the audience with his eloquence and depth.
The event, which marked MoAD’s first in-person open mic since 2020, brought together poets, artists, and community members to celebrate Black History Month through spoken word and creative expression. Moody’s “Gimmy Problems” poem resonated with the audience, earning Moody a standing ovation.
“…but if Lou lose enough, then he gonna go take what Gimmy got, now we got a few problems. So let’s come up with a plan to offer a helping hand to a boy before we got to deal with a desperate man.”
