What was supposed to be a lighthearted halftime tic-tac-toe contest at the Atlanta Hawks game turned into an unforgettable moment when a fan named James suffered a serious injury mid-game.
James was racing to score a bucket in order place his marker on the oversized tic-tac-toe board when he slipped and fell awkwardly, seemingly tearing his ACL. As he writhed in agony on the court, his opponent continued playing, seemingly unfazed by James’s distress.
The announcer urged the opponent to “Be kind” and check on James. However, the opponent pressed on, placing the final marker to secure the win.
