The Cleveland Cavaliers delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday night, defeating the New York Knicks 124-105 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. While the game was filled with standout moments, one in particular stole the spotlight—Jarrett Allen’s attempt at a LeBron James-inspired dunk.
Late in the fourth quarter, with the Cavaliers comfortably ahead, Allen intercepted a pass and found himself on a fast break with no defenders in sight. Seizing the moment, the 26-year-old center launched himself into the air, pulling his right arm back for a windmill dunk reminiscent of LeBron James’ iconic slams. The crowd erupted as Allen completed the dunk, but the real entertainment came during the postgame press conference.
“Honestly, I wanted to look like Bron trying to bring it back,” Allen said with a laugh. “I looked at the replay—nothing close.”

After trailing by 15 points in the first half, Cleveland outscored the Knicks 71-45 in the second half. Donovan Mitchell led the charge with 27 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Allen contributed 21 points and eight rebounds on an impressive 10-for-11 shooting. Darius Garland added 17 points and six assists.
The Knicks, despite strong performances from Karl-Anthony Towns (25 points, 13 rebounds) and OG Anunoby (23 points, six rebounds, six assists), were unable to withstand Cleveland’s relentless second-half push. The loss snapped the Knicks’ streak of 71 consecutive wins when leading by 15 or more points in a game, a record dating back to October 2023.
With this win, the Cavaliers improved to 61-15, tying the second-most wins in franchise history. As the playoffs approach, Cleveland looks poised to make a deep run and potentially add another championship banner to their rafters.
