Marcus Morris Sr. Believes Kawhi Leonard Is More Feared Than Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is basically a human heat check. Once he crosses halfcourt, the panic begins. He’s launching 35-footers, darting around multiple screens in seconds, and throwing defenses into chaos. Suddenly, the opposing team is down double digits wondering how it all happened.

In those moments, there’s no denying how fearsome he really is. He’s not bodying people like Shaquille O’Neal or jawing like Michael Jordan, but his impact is just as loud. It’s that kind of presence that made Stephen A. Smith call Curry the biggest fear factor in the NBA.

Still, as impactful and dangerous as Steph is, veteran forward Marcus Morris Sr. sees it differently. In his eyes, Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard ranks above Curry as the most feared player in the NBA.

“I wouldn’t go far and say Steph Curry. Listen, he’s very respectable. Everybody knows Steph Curry, if not the best point guard to ever play the game, right? But I gotta disagree with you. You know who am I gonna go to? I’m gonna talk about No. 2 with the Clipper Nation, I’m gonna go with Kawhi Leonard.”
