Hawk Noises And Feathers: Atlanta Fan Steals The Show In Play-In Game

The NBA play-in tournament is known for its high-stakes drama, but during the Orlando Magic’s clash with the Atlanta Hawks, one fan managed to steal the spotlight with an unforgettable performance of their own.

Dressed head-to-toe as a hawk, complete with bright red feathers, a sequined vest, and a matching headband, this dedicated Hawks supporter made their presence known by unleashing loud, bird-like screeches every time Magic players stepped to the free-throw line.

Seated behind the Magic’s basket, the fan’s commitment to their craft was impossible to ignore. As Orlando’s players, including Paolo Banchero, attempted their free throws, the fan let out piercing hawk noises in an effort to distract them. The dedication paid off to some extent, as the Magic missed four free throws during the game.

While the fan’s efforts were entertaining, they weren’t enough to propel the Hawks to victory. The Magic dominated the game, securing a 120-95 win and clinching the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Despite the loss, the Hawks remain alive in the play-in tournament and will face the winner of the Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls matchup for a chance to claim the No. 8 seed.
