Charles Barkley On Why Lonzo Ball Only Is Half A Player
Has Lonzo Ball impressed or dissapointed during his first 8 NBA games? Opinions differ on this question. While Ball certainly has impressed pushing the tempo and passing the ball, his shooting and decision making trends in the other direction. Through his first 9 games, Ball is averaging 8.8 points per game, while only shooting 30.8% from the field.
Charles Barkley had the perfect explanation for Lonzo’s shooting woes on Inside the NBA. He said that Lonzo only is half a player, because he can only shoot from the left side of his body. I’ve rewatched some Lonzo Ball shots from this season, and have to admit that Barkley is 100% right. His statement is spot on.
“He’s got this defect in his game because he can only shoot the ball from the left side of his body. So he can only shoot going left, because he can’t go right cause he’s bringing the ball from over here. So he’s only half of a player right now and guys are taking half his body away. I told you that during March Madness”
