Kawhi Leonard Wants Out Of San Antonio
There has been a lot of buzz around Kawhi Leonard this season, for a lot of reasons. His stellar play, we’ve gotten used to, wasn’t part of it though.
Leonard is still out with a nagging and slowly healing leg injury and there have been reports that Leonard wants to leave San Antonio. Former NBA player Nate Robinson added a bit more fuel to the fire and said that Leonard wants to leave the Spurs, during his HOLDAT podcast.
“From what I heard, from a little birdie, what I heard that the reason why he doesn’t, not that he doesn’t want to play, is that he doesn’t want to be in San Antonio no more, is because that I heard a big bag was coming. But if he doesn’t leave San Antonio that bag is not coming.”
There is a divide between Kawhi and the Spurs organization and judging from the way Kawhi has handled the injury situation more or less on his own, and with his own team/doctors, I’m not too sure that the Spurs are too keen on trying to convince Leonard to stay, either.
