Michael Jordan’s 103 Points In 1 Day

In 1986-1987, Michael Jordan had one of the most prolific scoring seasons in NBA history. He became the only player other than Wilt Chamberlain to score 3,000 points in a season, averaging a league high 37.1 points on 48.2% shooting. In addition, Jordan demonstrated his defensive prowess, as he became the first player in NBA history to record 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season.

But April 12, and 13, 1987, had probably been the most remarkable days that season for Jordan. MJ scored 103 points in less than 24 hours.

On April 12, the Chicago Bulls played the Indiana Pacers and Michael Jordan led the way with 53 points. The Bulls were playing back-to-back games and after a homegame in Chicago, they flew from Chicago to Milwaukee, to play the Bucks the next day, not even 21 hours after their win against the Pacers. Michael Jordan went berserk once again and scored 50 points in the road win. The game ended not even 24 hours after the previous game had started – Michael Jordan scored 103 points in one day!

After the game, the Bulls were off for three days, before playing the Hawks on April 16. Guess how many points Michael scored in that game?! Yup, he scored 61!
