Chauncey Billups: LeBron James Not The GOAT Because Of One Shot He Didn’t Take
Last week, in the latest episode of More Than An Athlete on ESPN+, LeBron James said that he believes he became the greatest player of all time after defeating the 73-win Golden State Warriors to win the NBA Finals in 2016.
This obviously has led to a lot of controversy and a lot of people stating their opinion over the last couple of days, including this recent one from Chauncey Billups. While being on ESPN’s NBA Countdown, Mr. Big Shot said that LeBron James is on the NBA Mount Rushmore, but not the best player of all time. He could have been though, if he made one shot:
“He’s on the Mount Rushmore, in my opinion, but…. I can’t put him at the top…
At the end of the day, and he’s talked about this, that win, beating that team, made him the greatest of all time… Maybe if he would hit the shot Kyrie hit, I could see him maybe saying that…”
