Harrison Barnes Will Be Paying The Funeral Expenses For Atatiana Jefferson
Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes will pay for the funeral expenses for Atatiana Jefferson.
Jefferson was killed by a police officer in her home in Forth Worth, Texas. Barnes, who previously played for the Dallas Mavericks said that his family wants to help to Jefferson’s family, while also reflecting on the killing of former NBA player Andre Emmett, who also was shot and killed in the Dallas, Texas area.
“It’s a tragic situation that happened. No one should be killed during a wellness check. But the biggest thing is anytime someone has to go through that, the last thing that you want to have to worry about is trying to come up with the money for a funeral.
It was unfortunate, it should never happen. You think of a wellness check, not something that’s going to be fatal, so you want justice for the family. But at the same time your heart goes out to the family that now has to deal with that.”
Harrison Barnes just talked about he and his wife paying for the funeral for Atatiana Jefferson. Said his family wants to help ease the burden on her family after her killing. Also mentioned the killing of Andre Emmett when talking about gun violence in the Dallas area.
