I PROMISE – LeBron James Announces Housing For Akron Stundets & Struggling Families
LeBron James not only is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, he’s also a generous humanitarian. James has always been very active in the fight against social injustices, especially in his home town of Akron, Ohio.
In 2018, James opened an elementary school, the I PROMISE school, providing high quality education to hundreds of underprivileged inner-city children.
According to the Fordham Institute in Ohio, 90% of the school’s students met or exceeded their expected growth in math and reading.
James now is taking the project a step further and announced the ‘I PROMISE Village.’
The new project’s goal is to provide housing for students and struggling families. James is partnering with Graduate Hotels, to make the realization of this project possible.
