LeBron James’ Blunt Message To People Criticizing Him For Mentoring Younger Players
Over these past couple of years, LeBron James has fully embraced his role as face of the NBA. He’s become the global ambassador of the league, and also a mentor for younger players.
After the Lakers game against the Pelicans on Sunday night, he was criticized for mentoring young, opposing players in his post-game interviews. James now had a message for these critics, and he’s 100% right on this one.
“Anybody that says, ‘LeBron, why would he do that while he’s playing? He’s showing signs of weakness, he’s buddy-buddy with these guys he’s going against.’ Tell em to kiss my ass. With a smile, too.”
On his words to Zion, LeBron says he thinks it’s his responsibility to mentor: “Anybody that says, ‘LeBron, why would he do that while he’s playing?
