Emotional Michael Jordan Talking About Why He Was So Hard On His Teammates

The end of the first of the two episodes of last night’s ‘The Last Dance’ airing included one of the best moments of the documentary, yet.

An emotional Michael Jordan talking about why he was so hard on his teammates throughout his career. Jordan opened up about his mentality and actually became so involved that, at the and of his monologue, he was in tears, got out of his chair and walked away asking for a break.

“You ask all my teammates, the one thing about Michael Jordan was… he never asked me to do something that he didn’t f*cking do. When people see this, they will say ‘he wasn’t really a nice guy, he may have been a tyrant’. Well, that’s you, because you never won anything. I wanted to win, but I wanted them to win and be a part of it as well. I don’t have to do this, I’m only doing that because it is who I am. That’s how I played the game. That was my mentality. If you don’t wanna play that way, don’t play that way.”
