JR Smith Beats The Crap Out Of Guy Who Vandalized His Car
From now on, May 31 should always be celebrated as ‘JR Smith’ day.
May 31, 2018, Game 1 of the NBA Finals was tied with 4.7 seconds left in the 4th quarter, after George Hill missed a potential game-winning free-throw. JR Smith grabbed the offensive rebound, but instead of attempting a game-winning shot, or passing the ball, JR dribbled the ball out of the paint allowing the clock to run out, thinking that the Cavs had the lead. OVERTIME! The Cavaliers eventually lost.
May 31, 2020, during the protests in many US cities, someone vandalized Smith’s car and broke a window. Smith decided to take things into his own hands, tracked down the guy and beat the crap out of him. In an Instagram story, JR said:
“I just want y’all to know right now before you all see this sh*t somewhere else. One of these little motherf**king white boys didn’t know where he was going and broke my f**king window in my truck.
I chased him down and whooped his ass. So if the footage come out and y’all see it, I chased him down and whooped his ass. He broke my window. This ain’t no hate crime.”
The footage, as you can imagine, indeed came out. Take a look!
