Frank Vogel Believes Fans Are Taking LeBron James’ Performances For Granted
LeBron James has solidified himself amongst the Mount Rushmore of NBA greats, and shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to surge past critics and doubters, claiming a higher ground in the NBA record books.
James and the Los Angeles Lakers just completed a gentlemen sweep against a red-hot Blazers team that featured Bubble MVP Damian Lillard in the first-round of the playoffs. LeBron continues to amaze as he averaged a triple-double of 27.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 10.2 assists to conclude their first series win this year.
As the Lakers prepare for their second-round opponent, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked whether James’ triple-double averages are taken for granted within the league. Vogel started his statement, saying media and fans take it for granted.
Per Yahoo Sports:
“I think the media and maybe the fans are taking for granted. But we don’t take it for granted inhouse here. Our coaching staff, front office and his team-mates, we all really understand appreciate how special his performances are and what he brings to the table. We definitely don’t take that for granted.”
