Doc Rivers Is In Philadelphia And Has Received A Job Offer from The 76ers
On Monday, the Los Angeles Clippers drew the conclusion from their disappointing season and fired long-time head coach Doc Rivers.
Rivers had been coaching the Clippers since 2013 and compiled a 356-208 overall record, the fifth-best record in the NBA.
But it appears as Doc won’t be on the market for too long, possibly not even a week. According to various sources close to the Philadelphia 76ers, Rivers apparently has been offered the head coaching job for the team.
Additionally, Rivers already is in Philadelphia and was watching Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals together with the Sixers’ front office.
Rivers is expected to sign a contract as soon as today.
