Why Kobe Bryant Declined To Be In Space Jam 2

About 23 years ago, the greatest basketball movie in history, Space Jam, was released.

As we know, LeBron James will be the next star to aid Bugs Bunny and his fellow Looney Toon comrades in a “Space Jam” sequel.

This past weekend, the trailer for the sequel ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ was released and went super viral. 

Kobe Bryant would have had the chance of being in the movie, but he declined. In a 2018 interview, Kobe revealed that he had no interest in taking the screen:

“Being in front of the camera for me was something that never excited me. Never. … I’ll direct it.”
