Dennis Schröder Vows Not To Wear Kyrie Irving’s Signature Sneakers Anymore After Last Confrontation
Dennis Schröder finished the season with averages of 15.4 points. 3.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game on 43.7% shooting from the field. Schröder has appeared in 61 games and has already starred in a couple of memorable moments this season. One of which was their game against the Brooklyn Nets last month.
While Schröder surely did some damage and helped the Lakers outlast the Nets, basketball fans may not remember him for his production during that game, but for going into a heated exchange with Nets star Kyrie Irving. As the two players went back-and-forth in the third quarter, officials had to intervene and decided to toss both players out of the game.
Apparently, this scenario still remains fresh in Schröder’s mind. Showing off his sneaker collection in his own YouTube video, Schröder flashed one of Kyrie’s signature sneaker and vowed not to wear any of them ever again after what happened during their last meeting. He revealed that he will give them all away to fans.
“Unfortunately, l can’t wear them no more. It’s not possible after what happened in the game. I cannot do it. Not going to wear it again. We will do giveaways for everybody who wants them.”
