Shaquille O’Neal Says He Never Was The Best Player On His Teams

To me, TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ is by far the best and funniest NBA show around. The cast is outstanding and you can tell that Shaq, Kenny, Ernie and Chuck are good friends off the camera as well.

Usually the show is filled with banter and the four throw jabs at each other constantly. Last night though, we were in for a surprise. Opposite Day?

Shaq showed some incredibly humility, and said that he never was the best player on any of his teams, giving this honor to Penny Hardaway, Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade. This led to Chuck sharing a compliment about Shaq and Ernie and Kenny getting very emotional due to this beautiful moment.

“I could truly say that I was never the best player on a team… I was always fortunate to have Penny, Kobe or D-Wade. And that’s ok, because a lot of times people worry about useless titles…”
