During His 2017 Free Agency Andre Iguodala Pranked Steve Kerr & Bob Myers
Since the Miami Heat declined his $15 million team option for the 2021-22 season, Andre Iguodala has become a free agent.
Recent rumors surrounding his free agency expect Iguodala to meet with the Golden State Warriors to talk about a potential reunion.
Andre Iguodala was teammates with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the rest of the gang for six years, winning three championships in the process while being part of the Warriors’ most feared lineup – the Hampton 5.
In the midst of these reunion rumors, an old story about Iggy, a well-know prankster, surfaced. During his 2017 free agency, the former Finals MVP pranked Steve Kerr and Bob Myers by telling them that he was going to Sacramento. Steve Kerr even believed it for a bit:
“He decided to play a joke on Bob (Myers) and me. He told us he was gonna go to Sacramento. We wished him well. And he’s like, ‘I got you suckers. I’m coming back.’ I bought it for a few seconds but he gave it away quickly.”
