Draymond Green Praises Ja Morant, Says He’s Joining LeBron, CP3 And Rondo On His Smartest Players In The NBA List
Draymond Green is a stellar defensive player. He has four NBA All-Defensive First Team and two NBA All-NBA Second Team honors throughout his career. He also led the league in steals and won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2017.
The eye test also doesn’t lie for the Golden State Warriors big man. Standing at roughly 6-foot-7, Green excels at protecting the rim and defending bigger and taller players in the post. He’s also very versatile that he can step out of the paint and slow down the best perimeter offensive players.
Simply put, Green is one of the smartest players on the court in the NBA, and always knows what’s going on.
During his appearance on JJ Redick’s ‘The old man and the three’ podcast, Green now was asked about the smartest players he’s played against. While naming the usual suspects, Green added Ja Morant to the discussion and heap praise on the young Grizzlies point guard.
“The smartest players I played against, is by far… LeBron, Rajon Rondo, and Chris Paul… and who’s creeping up in that category is Ja Morant.”
