Michael Jordan Walked Away From Game As Hornets Nearly Blew Huge Lead And Instantly Became A Meme
After years and years of mediocrity, if even that, the Charlotte Hornets have been on cloud nine ever since drafting LaMelo Ball.
Ball entered the league with a lot of doubts hanging over him as the #3 overall pick, but he hasn’t been messing around and has been silencing all his doubters ever since.
The Charlotte Hornets aren’t contending anytime soon, but they can look forward to their future as they got a promising future with players like Ball, Bridges and Rozier. Their young core paired with some more experienced talent in Gordon Hayward and Kelly Oubre Jr. also helped the team to become one of the most balanced scoring threats in the league.
So after years, and years of agony, Hornets owner Michael Jordan can be happy and excited about his team and its future.
But last night? Well, while the Hornets eventually won the game against the Anthony Davis and LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers, Jordan wasn’t too pleased to watch his team nearly blow a 20-point lead in the closing seconds.
It even got to a point that Jordan, with about 16 seconds left on the game clock and Charlotte up by one point, had to walk away from his suite.

This obviously led to Jordan becoming an instant meme, with plenty of NBA fans having the exact same joke for the situation:
not going to lie, there was a split second i thought he might be going to suit up. https://t.co/jn8ccY8lQn

The amount of memes MJ would’ve had if he came up in the social media era would’ve been ridiculous https://t.co/GE2Jw4Pnhb
