Meet Dylan Sadiq, The Artist Who Creates Athlete Mosaics With Rubik’s Cubes
If you started to make random moves on a Rubik’s cube at the begining of the universe, about 13.8 billion years ago, while making exactly one move per second, your chances of solving it at any point are about 1%.
So randomly solving one, without learning the algorithms is virtually impossible. This is what makes Dylan Sadiq’s art even more impressive. The 21-year old student started creating mosaics of famous athletes using Rubik’s cubes last year. While he’s already sold some of his amazing pieces to athletes and sports franchises, he’s also doing live shows in front of audiences.
One of these live performances will take place in the next few days in Cleveland, Ohio, where Sadiq is part of the NBA Crossover exhibition for the All-Star weekend. During a media event, I had the chance to check out some of his artwork before the public eye, and was able to talk to him.
