Charles Oakley Claims Michael Jordan Could Still Have Won Even Without Scottie Pippen

 

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen spent 10 seasons together, putting up exceptional numbers and accumulating enormous team success which is highlighted by their six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls.

Jordan was the engine of the Bulls from the get-go, but it was clear that he needed some sort of help to get over the hump, and that help arrived in the form of Pippen, who became his consistent second option until the end of his Bulls career.

Pippen’s role to the overall success of Jordan and the Bulls is well-documented. But according to former New York Knicks forward Charles Oakley, Jordan could still have won even without the all-around Bulls forward.

 

“For Mike and Scottie, I think it’ something else besides ‘The Last Dance’ because yeah Scottie, they didn’t give him a lot of headlines like they did Dennis Rodman or Curry, but I think Mike could have won without Scottie. He has said that many times but I think Scottie, whatever you say you gotta live with it and some things he said and things he did…”
