Charles Oakley Says LeBron James Should Consider Joining The Phoenix Suns Or The Philadelphia 76ers If He Wants Another Ring
The situation in L.A. is looking quite disasterous. The Los Angeles Lakers are in danger of missing the playoffs, sitting at the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 30-41 record. They are currently only three games ahead of the eleventh-seeded San Antonio Spurs, with 11 games to play.
LeBron James has been all about business this season, averaging 29.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 52.2% from the field. His play is one of the few positives for the Lakers, but that alone isn’t enough to elevate the team to championship contention.
As the Lakers continue to struggle, former New York Knicks defensive forward Charles Oakley now floated the idea that LeBron may have to leave if he wants to win another championship. According to Oakley, the four-time NBA champion should consider going to the Philadelphia 76ers or the Phoenix Suns.
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen,” Oakley said. “He may need to get out of L.A. He needs a ring. He might need to leave to get it. Two places he could probably get it is Philadelphia or Phoenix.”
