NBA Twitter Was Furious Over Draymond Green’s Flagrant 2 Call
With 1:18 remaining in the second quarter of yesterday’s Game 1 between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green was ejected after being called for a Flagrant 2 foul.
The call was very controversial, and the foul occurred as Brandon Clarke leaped into the air to attempt an easy 2-point basket, and Green tried to disrupt Clarke by dragging his jersey and pulling him down to the ground.

Just like Draymond and the rest of the Warriors, NBA fans were also rightfully irate at Green’s ejection, leading to NBA Twitter reacting accordingly.
steph can’t help but smile as the refs make the bs call of throwing draymond out the game pic.twitter.com/2zXCbUsKGC

Draymond Green gets ejected for a grab and yank of Brandon Clarke’s jersey. Warriors bench is stunned. Steph Curry to the referees: “That’s f****** crazy.” They thought it’d be a flagrant 1 maximum.

There’s no way Draymond Green should be ejected for that.
That is one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen in an NBA playoff game.

Soft league for ejecting Draymond Green for that. League should be ashamed

LMAOOOOO at Draymond putting on a show as he exits. It’s ridiculous that’s a flagrant 2 though. Absurd

That is the worst Flagrant 2 call I have ever seen. You don’t eject Draymond Green in a playoff game like this over that foul. Fucking ridiculous

Can’t believe Draymond got tossed for that

1. The Grizzlies played much closer to their regular season identity than they did in Round 1. Good on them.
2. The Draymond ejection just cannot happen. These are the playoffs. Ejecting a player has to be a last resort/unavoidable decision. The impact is too great.

That’s a Draymond call. No one else is getting that Flagrant 2.

Feels like someone with a foul so harsh they need to be ejected wouldn’t try to stop the player he fouled from hitting the ground that hard. And I’m no Draymond fan. But that wasn’t bad enough to eject from a playoff game
