Drew League Player Dion Wright Speaks Out After Social Media Made Him A Meme Following LeBron’s Performance
This past weekend, we reported that LeBron James himself stopped by to team up with DeMar DeRozan and play his first Drew League Game in 11 years.
And LeBron James did not disappoint. The four-time champion led his team to a 104-102 victory with his 42 points and 16 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan meanwhile added 30 points and 14 rebounds.
The Los Angeles based Drew-League is very entertaining during NBA break. It also is played by a lot of NBA players every summer.
Before the season start of Drew League, most of the players had no clue that day could be facing LeBron James at one point. For Dion Wright however, this became a reality.
Unfortunately, Wight became the subject of plenty of memes as social media saw him as an easy target.
Bron really had this man fighting for his life @brhoops pic.twitter.com/xEeInDNEh9

Wight however, responded to the jokes and memes and let the world know, that he did his job and is proud of what his team with no NBA players had achieved.
“He dropped 40 I had 20 for every 2 points he had I had 1 . . . That’s really a once in a lifetime player we had no nba guys.”
