Shaquille O’Neal Criticizes Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Post-Game Free Throw Practice In Philadelphia: “What’s The Gonna Prove?”
Giannis Antetokounmpo made headlines recently after the Milwaukee Bucks superstar returned to the court to shoot free throws after he went 4-for-15 from the charity stripe in their game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Antetokounmpo’s post-game free throw practice however didn’t wind up without some sort of turmoil. During his routine, Antetokounmpo had an argument with Sixers center Montrezl Harrell and was later on seen tossing down a ladder that was blocking the hoop.
A week since the incident, NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal now appeared on his “BIG” podcast and shared his thoughts about the matter. Consequently, O’Neal questioned why Antetokounmpo was still shooting after the game was over.
“My question is why are you shooting after the game? What’s that gonna prove? The game is over man, let it go. If you’re two for ten in the game and you lose and then you go after the game and shoot eight for ten, what does that prove? It don’t prove nothing. So, that’s my question.”
