Brooklyn Nets Still Battling With New Jersey Public One Decade On

Having the identity of a sports team taken from one place and moved to another is a truly American phenomenon and it is something that simply cannot be comprehended in many other countries in the world.

Back in 2012, the then New Jersey Nets became the Brooklyn Nets and whilst this change in identity was hardly seismic, it has been a long decade of transition for all involved with the franchise.

Not winning a NBA title is the ultimate bug bare for all associated with the Brooklyn Nets and once again in the 2022/23 campaign, this doesn’t look like a fact that will be changing any time soon.

Possessing a star studded line up isn’t enough in the NBA these days and whilst the Brooklyn Nets are blessed with some of the greatest players in the game on their roster, the results simply aren’t tallying up.

The likes of Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons and Kevin Durant are all NBA superstars in their own right, yet currently for the Brooklyn Nets, they aren’t churning out the results consistently enough.

Winning just 13 of 25 games played this season is not the return many hoped for from the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference and they are struggling in 8th place in the standings as a result.

This lack of form and consistency has only added to the fractious nature of basketball in New Jersey and it looks as if true harmony and success is a long way off currently for the Brooklyn Nets.

At +100 odd as per this NJ’s Caesars sportsbook offer, the Brooklyn Nets are a side that are very capable of stringing a run together in the Eastern Conference yet they haven’t been able to achieve it as yet.

In a similar vein, the Nets are +1800 to go on and finally break the elusive NBA Championship title duck, something that would endear them to the New Jersey general public but looks to be a long way off currently.

Finding a way to stop the Boston Celtics will be the priority for most sides this season, especially those plying their trade in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics have had too much for all in front of them this term so far and confidence and momentum is building at TD Garden.

At +325 to win the Eastern Conference and +550 to go on and win the NBA Championship title, clearly plenty of sides are getting on board the Boston Celtics bandwagon this season.

Elsewhere, Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns are two sides that should be in the mix – challenging from the Western Conference division.

Defending champions Golden State are so well coached and always come good when it matters at +750, whilst the Phoenix Suns have an exciting side and they can be backed at +1000 for NBA Championship glory.
