The Los Angeles Clippers have established themselves as one polarizing team in the Western Conference over the past four years. However, they’ve yet to make enough damage in the postseason due in large part to the unavailability of their two superstars.
As far as Paul George, the 33-year old looked primed for the Clippers’ impending playoff run last season as he averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game on 45.7% shooting from the field. However, that all came to end when he got injured late in the season and was unable to help his team during the NBA playoffs.
George is a dominant No.2 option for the Clippers when he’s healthy, but his time with the team may already be coming to an end as it was reported that the Clippers have left rival teams with the impression that they are open to trading the 33-year old forward.
This being the case, three teams have now been floated as potential landing spots for George if he were to get traded this offseason.
Per Real GM:
“Both George and Leonard will soon be eligible for four-year contract extensions worth more than $200 million.
The Portland Trail Blazers and the Houston Rockets have been identified as potential trade candidates. The Blazers own the No. 3 pick, which they have been shopping in potential deals to improve the supporting cast around Lillard. Houston owns the No. 4 pick and they are motivated to accelerate their rebuild this offseason.”
