Ahead of the NBA Finals that began last night, the NBA’s Larry O’Brien Trophy had already made a pretty incredible sightseeing tour. Larry made stops at the F1 Miami Grand Prix, the PGA Championship, the Westminster Dog Show, and the Kentucky Derby. It also shared an iconic lunch with the NHL’s Stanley Cup at Katz’s Delicatessen in New York City.
Now, before Game 1 tipped off in Denver last night, the Trophy completed its epic journey by skydiving out of a plane.

While this stunt may have seemed like a good idea, it caused a somewhat bewildered reaction by NBA Twitter.
