The Miami Heat beat the New Orleans Pelicans back in February, in a game that saw multiple suspensions due to a scuffle. After the win, Heat star Jimmy Butler declared his team were the better squad and vowed to win their next meeting.
That confidence hasn’t aged well. Last Friday, the Pelicans dominated the Heat 111-88. The Pelicans, clearly remembering Butler’s comments, responded through their team’s social media account and forward Naji Marshall.

Despite only managing 17 points in the loss to the Pelicans and the Pelicans currently holding a better record at 43-27 compared to the Heat’s 38-32, Jimmy Butler is sticking to his words. He still believes the Heat are the better team.
“They came in here and stole one. I’m gonna stick by what I said, we are still the better team,” Butler said.
