There’s little debate that Stephen Curry is the best point guard of his generation, which naturally places him above current Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving. When you look at their accomplishments, the difference is obvious.
Irving’s track record, featuring an NBA championship and multiple All-Star appearances, along with getting the best of Curry in the 2016 Finals, is impressive in its own right. But even with that, it’s no match for Curry’s two MVPs, four rings, the all-time 3-point record, and a stack of All-NBA selections.
That said, former NBA journeyman Nick Young isn’t shy about sharing his controversial take. He’s convinced that people are scared to admit that Irving might actually be better than Curry.
“[Kyrie Irving] is the [Kobe Bryant] to [Steph Curry’s] [Michael Jordan]. People are scared to say he’s better.”
