With superstars like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, and Jayson Tatum on Team USA, championship talk is inevitable. Still, another big question among basketball circles is who stands out as the team’s best player.
Frankly, it’s hard to choose the best player on such a talented team. However, for Houston Rockets forward Amen Thompson, the answer is quite clear.
As part of the USA Select Team tasked with scrimmaging the Olympic roster, Thompson got a unique perspective on their inner workings. He then left no room for debate, identifying 39-year-old superstar LeBron James as the team’s best player.
