Chicago Bulls Drafted Hometown Kid Matas Buzelis, Who Tearfully Thanked His Doubters

 

Chicago native Matas Buzelis’ NBA dreams became reality on draft night, and the emotions ran high. Selected 11th overall by his hometown Chicago Bulls, Buzelis became visibly emotional during his post-draft interview.

 

“I’m blessed, man,” Buzelis said, his voice thick with emotion. “This is what I wanted. I wanted to be here. Thank you to the Bulls organization. I’m ready to work, man. I was born for this.”

 

But Buzelis’ message didn’t end there. He also went on to address his doubters.

 

“Thank you to everyone that doubted me because I wouldn’t be here without y’all. I just use it as fuel,” he continued.
