Format:
The tournament will follow a two-stage format, similar to last season’s inaugural in-season tournament:
1. Group Play: All 30 NBA teams will be randomly drawn into groups of five within their conference, based on their win-loss records from the 2023-24 regular season. Each team will play one game against each of the four opponents in its group on designated “Cup Nights.”
2. Knockout Rounds: The top eight teams from Group Play (the three group winners and one wild card from each conference) will advance to the single-elimination Knockout Rounds. These rounds will determine which teams move on to the semifinals and ultimately the championship game in Las Vegas.
