Last week, the Golden State Warriors and the entire NBA world were in shock, after Warriors sssistant coach, Dejan Milojevic passed away at age 46.
Milojevic was hospitalized last Tuesday night at a Salt Lake City restaurant after a sudden heart attack. He had traveled with the Warriors for their game against the Utah Jazz. There were players and coaches eating dinner together when the health incident occurred.
Now, one week later Warriors will play their first game since the tragic passing of their coach. When doing so, and for the rest of the season, they’ll make sure to honor Milojevic. They will wear a ‘DM’ patch on their uniforms for the remainder of the season in honor of their late assistant coach, and have also placed his initials on the floor of the Chase Center near the bench.
