On Tuesday night, the New York Knicks celebrated the 25th anniversary of their iconic broadcast duo, Mike Breen and Walt “Clyde” Frazier. The two have been calling games on MSG Network since the 1998-99 season and have witnessed the highs and lows of Knicks basketball over the years.
But before the game against the Memphis Grizzlies started, they received a special surprise from Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. The two interrupted the broadcast to congratulate Breen and Frazier on their milestone and present them with jerseys signed by the entire Knicks squad, with the number 25 and the words “Mike & Clyde” on the back.
“Hey sorry to interrupt you, just wanted to say congratulations for 25 years guys,” Brunson said as he handed Breen the jersey. “Congratulations, gentleman,” Hart added while giving Frazier his jersey. “Appreciate everything ya’ll do,” Hart continued.

Breen and Frazier were visibly touched by the gesture and thanked Brunson and Hart for their kindness. Breen admitted that his only goal for the night was not to cry, while Frazier joked that he might join him. “I can’t believe it’s been 25 years, folks, but I’ve enjoyed the ride,” Frazier said.
The MSG Network also paid tribute to the legendary duo with a montage of well-wishes from celebrities, former players, and fans. Breen and Frazier have earned the respect and admiration of the basketball community for their professionalism, passion, and chemistry. They are widely regarded as one of the best broadcast teams in the NBA, if not in all of sports.
The Knicks also gave Breen and Frazier a reason to celebrate on the court, as they defeated the Grizzlies 123-113. Unfortunately, Brunson suffered an apparent ankle injury in the fourth quarter and did not return to the game.
The night belonged to Breen and Frazier, however, who have been the voice of the Knicks for a generation of fans. They have provided countless memorable calls, insights, and anecdotes over the years, and have become synonymous with Knicks basketball. They are truly a dynamic duo, and their 25th anniversary was a fitting occasion to honor their legacy.
