Josh Hart Sees Derrick White As A More Impactful Player Than Jayson Tatum

There’s no doubt Derrick White is one of the key reasons why the Boston Celtics are headed to the NBA Finals. While he may not average 25 points a game, White’s knack for disrupting the opposition’s offense and delivering in clutch moments has been crucial.

With his contributions, many view White as a crucial contributor or some sort of an X factor in the upcoming NBA Finals series. This being the case, New York Knicks standout Josh Hart even weighs White’s impact against Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum.

Tatum is undeniably the best player of the Celtics, proving his worth in their last series with averages of 30.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists on 46.3% shooting to knock out the Indiana Pacers. Having said that, Hart suggests White might have a greater impact than Tatum.

“Just impact-wise, I might put Derrick White as more impactful than Jayson Tatum. Look at every main play in the last six minutes of the fourth to overtime, every big play, [White] made. He’s probably one of the most impactful players because he does just everything on the court and does everything at a high level,” Hart said.
